JAE|Japan Avionics Launches CHAdeMO Compliant KW02C Series EV Charge/Discharge Connectors

For the North American market (UL certification) and the Japanese market, Nippon Aviation Electronics has added UL-certified and JCS-specified products to its KW02C Series of electric vehicle charge/discharge connectors, which comply with the CHAdeMO(*1) specification for improved waterproofing and maneuverability, to its product lineup, and has begun selling them now.

1.JAE|Japan Aerospace Electronics KW02C Series Connector UL Listed Products and JCS Specification Products Outline: With the accelerated development of many decarbonization promotion processes, the electrification of the entire mobility industry, including passenger cars, is in full swing, and the electric vehicle charging infrastructure is expected to expand further in the future. In addition, EVs are expected to play a role as a major power storage device, and a system called "V2X"(*2) will be constructed to enable charging and discharging operations between the power grid and homes. The demand for EV chargers is very high, and as a result the needs for EV chargers are becoming more diverse, including the need for them to be compact enough to be assembled in tight spaces.
