The development process of wiring harness products is compiled according to the vehicle development process, and the two interact and influence each other. Understand the whole vehicle development process, integrate the wiring harness development process and the whole vehicle development process, and grasp each sub-process of wiring harness development as a whole. It takes years to develop a new model. The vehicle development process starts from user research, goes through project establishment, product planning and design, trial production and certification, and finally goes into mass production and market sales. Its development is mainly divided into four stages, namely, conceptual design, product engineering design, design verification and product approval.

I. Conceptual design starts from the project development instructions issued by the company, corresponding to the start-up stage of the company's development project. In the conceptual design stage, the project includes: configuration table, project development type (project level), project development plan, production program, mass production time, etc. ① Formulate the design and development scheme of wiring harness products. ② Confirm the project team members of the whole vehicle system. ③ Prepare engineering BOM list (common parts, used parts, borrowed parts, added or subtracted parts, special parts, etc.). ④ BenchMark analysis (such as principle, harness layout, harness connector binding and fixing and other material information, performance analysis, etc.). ⑤ Feasibility analysis of engineering design scheme, adding patent inquiry of parts/technical scheme. ⑥ Realize the collection of major and typical historical quality problems. ⑦ Collect the circuit diagram of the unit and complete the first edition of the drawing of the whole vehicle. ⑧ Formulate the layout scheme of vehicle harness and complete the three-dimensional data of vehicle harness. ⑨ Prepare the technical description of wiring harness product, DFMEA and other documents. 2. Product engineering design ① Select suppliers and sign technical agreements. ② Detailed circuit design of the whole vehicle system. ③ Circuit principle design of the whole vehicle. ④ Realize the design of two-dimensional graph of wire harness. ⑤ Prepare EBOM program. ⑥ Formulate DV test scheme, including product performance test, principle verification and other test schemes. ⑦ Data freezing, wiring harness digital-analog and drawing distribution to suppliers. 3. Design verification ① Carry out trial production test on wiring harness, including component level and vehicle level test. ② Check the problems existing in the inspection process of wiring harness products. ③ Optimize the design of wiring harness products. ④ Carry out product design certification. Implement and verify the DVP scheme of parts and components, and implement the inspection plan and implementation of the vehicle electrical system. 4. Product approval ① Optimize the design of wiring harness. ② Verify EBOM. ③ Carry out OTS product certification.
