How are connectors terminated?

Soldering Soldering is most commonly known as tin soldering. Piercing connection Piercing connection, also known as insulation displacement connection, is invented by the United States in the 1960s, a novel end technology, with high reliability, low cost, easy to use and other characteristics, is now widely used in a variety of printed board with connectors. It is suitable for the connection of ribbon cables. Connection does not need to strip the cable insulation, relying on the connector's "U" contact reed piercing the insulation, so that the cable conductor slides into the contact reed groove and is clamped, so that the cable conductor and the connector between the reed to form a tight electrical connectivity.
