Soldering Soldering is most commonly known as tin soldering. The most important aspect of a soldered connection is that there should be a metallic continuity between the solder material and the surface to be soldered. Therefore what is important for connectors is solderability. The most common plating on the soldered end of a connector is tin alloy, silver and gold. Common soldering ends for reed contact pairs are solder lugs, punched eye lugs and notched lugs: common soldering ends for pinhole contact pairs are drilled circular notched. Crimping Crimping is a technique for compressing and displacing metal within specified limits and connecting wires to a contact pair. A good crimped connection produces an intermelt flow of metal that symmetrically deforms the conductor and contact pair material. This connection is similar to a cold welded connection in that it gives better mechanical strength and electrical continuity, and it can withstand harsher environmental conditions. It is now generally accepted that a properly crimped connection is better than a soldered one, especially in high current situations where crimping must be used. Crimping shall use special crimping pliers or automatic, semi-automatic crimping machine. Should be based on the cross-section of the wire, the correct choice of contact on the wire barrel. It should be noted that the crimp connection is a sexual connection, can only be used once. Winding connection Winding connection is to wrap the wire directly around the contact with the angular winding column. In a wrap-around connection, the wire is wound under controlled tension, pressed into and secured against the prongs of the contactor winding post to form an airtight contact. Winding wire has several requirements: the nominal value of the wire diameter should be in the range of 0.25mm ~ 1.0mm; wire diameter is not greater than 0.5mm, the extension of the conductor material is not less than 15%; wire diameter is greater than 0.5mm, the extension of the conductor material is not less than 20%. Tools for winding connection include winding gun and fixed winding machine. Piercing connection Piercing connection, also known as insulation displacement connection, is invented by the United States in the 1960s, a novel end technology, with high reliability, low cost, easy to use and other characteristics, is now widely used in a variety of printed board with connectors. It is suitable for the connection of ribbon cables. Connection does not need to strip the cable insulation, relying on the connector's "U" contact reed piercing the insulation, so that the cable conductor slides into the contact reed groove and is clamped, so that the cable conductor and the connector between the reed to form a tight electrical connectivity. It requires only simple tools, but cables of the specified gauge must be used.-2、About BBC Electronic Products Network platform related to the introduction and sales of products briefly: BBC Electronic Products Network - a professional agent / production / sales of a variety of {connectors | wiring harness | wire and cable products}; if you have a related [connectors | wiring harness | wire and cable products] purchasing / sourcing needs or would like to buy / to understand which connectors | wiring harness | wire and cable products we can provide solutions, please contact the following Division Division I business personnel!
