Metral® High-Speed 4000 Series Backplane ConnectorsAmphenol's Enhanced Futurebus+ Supports High-Speed Applications up to 6.25 G Amphenol's Metral 4000 Series is a high-speed 2 mm backplane connector system consisting of an angled receptacle and an inline header.The 4000 Series features a unique ribbon wire configuration on both the receptacle and the header. The 4000 series features a unique ribbon wire structure on both the receptacle and connector. These receptacle connectors feature improved receptacle contact geometry optimized for 100 Ω differential signals compared to the 1000 and 2000 series. This results in better impedance matching and lower insertion loss. The connectors and receptacles utilize crimp pins designed for 0.6 mm drill holes. The system is designed for easy end-to-end stacking with other Metral products.
