Blind mating guides allow the inner wall of the plug shroud to align the connector during the mating process, thus contributing to trouble-free mating in drawer-type applications where the connector is obscured. Self-aligning panel mount receptacle flanges accept pressure fit brackets paired with bolts (used when assemblers have access to only one side of the panel) or shoulder screws paired with nuts (typically used when assemblers have access to both sides of the panel) to provide ±2.00 mm radial float for the panel mount receptacle to mitigate tolerance stacking issues.
