COM-HPC provides system and interface flexibility through the use of a pair of 400-pin connectors (for a total of 800 pins) based on the Samtec AcceleRate® HP High Performance Array. The Samtec COM-HPC alignment connectors support existing and future interfaces such as PCIe 5.0 (32 Gbps) and higher 100 Gb Ethernet. Female module receptacles are standardized in height. The male carrier plugs vary to allow stacking heights of 5 mm or 10 mm. Depending on the application, the connector pin assignments are optimized for client or server modules as defined in the COM-HPC specification.
