Flexible and Variable Sensing Distance The existing B5W-DB series of long-range reflective sensors have a fixed sensing distance of 550mm and only one power supply, 12VDC. The new B5W-DB11A1-A has both 12VDC and 15VDC power supplies, and the sensing distance between 150mm and 550mm can be changed by adjusting the external limiting resistor value.
Sensing Distance Adjustment Method When the value of the limiting resistor increases, the current applied to the LED decreases: therefore, the sensing distance becomes shorter; when the value of the limiting resistor decreases, the current applied to the LED increases: therefore, the sensing distance becomes longer. Limiting resistance range: *When 12VDC, the current limiting resistance is between 0 and 5100 ohms. *When 15VDC, the current limiting resistance is between 100~5100 ohms.
Small size and easy installation Although the sensing distance is up to 550mm, the new model B5W-DB11A1-A is small in size and can be mounted by screws in 4 directions, which meets the trend of miniaturization of electronic products and brings more design possibilities for electronic engineers.
