Amphenol | Amphenol Connectors-The AirMax vs ® connector product is: Compliant with CompactPCI ® Serial (PICMG) by PCI Industrial Computer Manufacturers Group (PICMG CPCI-s.0). Connectors between the front end system or perimeter board and the backplane are implemented using right-angle male and vertical female connectors. The interface of the rear I/O board uses a right-angle female and a vertical male. The open pin blade design of the AirMax VS ® signal connector provides flexibility for using differential or single-ended signal, ground, or power pins. The CompactPCI ® serial specification migrates the Compact PCI architecture to a high-speed serial interconnect standard. Provides greater support for serial point-to-point fabrics such as PCI Express ®, SATA, Ethernet, and USB in the CompactPCI standard footprint and fully compliant with IEC 1101 fabric requirements. The specification defines system and peripheral slots for 3U and 6U board sizes, and also allows hybrid systems to integrate legacy Compact PCI boards and newer Compact PCI serial boards to simplify the migration to serial interconnect technology.
