Amphenol | Amphenol Connectors-The AirMax VS2 ® High-Speed Backplane Connector product is a: For applications with speeds up to 20Gb/s, the AirMax VS2 ® connector provides a migration path from AirMax vs ® and improves the security performance of 802.3ap standard systems. And has the flexibility of an open pin-chip design. The connectors utilize design features and technology from AirMax VS ® and VSe ®, which provide better signal integrity and mechanical properties than AirMax VS ® connectors. The connector utilizes Amphenol ICC's unshielded design technology (no metal plates) and tightly coupled differential pair design to achieve low loss and low crosstalk. AirMax VS2 ® connectors are match-compatible with AirMax vs ® and AirMax VSe ® connectors without changing the PCB footprint of the connector. The ability to deploy match-compatible interfaces and retain critical pin configurations provides an opportunity for cost savings when deploying new and upgraded equipment. For example, the backplane and chassis may be designed to allow the installation and continued use of existing legacy daughter cards, line cards or blades, and new or future high-speed modular cards. Right angle and vertical female and male supports backplane, midplane, and coplanar applications.
