Amphenol | Amphenol Connectors The SOFIX ® power connector product is an EMC regulatory compliant product with improved input/output density and signal speed. The SOFIX ® front input/output interconnect system consists of right-angle plugs and cable plugs for power and signal distribution. SOFIX ® connectors can be fully shielded to the PCB level to provide EMC shielding at the subrack/front panel level. When used with the appropriate cables, these transmission paths are far below the IEC/CISPR 22 and FCC Part 15, Class B requirements. SOFIX ® power connectors are a reliable design option for systems with slot pitches as low as 15 mm. This design concept for the SOFIX ® I/O connector family comes from the Metral system (IEC 61076-4-104). Similarly, the SOFIX ® system can be used as a complement to the Metral backplane connector family or as a dedicated I/O solution.
