DC PCB Connectors Tensility Connectors are rated at 48 VTensility's DC PCB connectors are designed to match their cable assemblies. These connectors are rated at 48 V, which is higher than industry standards, and enable a wide range of applications using traditional DC power architectures. The through-hole connectors of this series have a center pin diameter of 1.1 mm to 2.5 mm and an outer diameter of 3.5 mm to 5.5 mm. The terminals are silver-plated brass and the spring contacts are silver-plated stainless steel. Current ratings for individual connectors range from 3.5 A for smaller sizes to 6.5 A for larger sizes. However, current capacity charts are included in the specifications, and users can compare the connectors according to the requirements of specific applications. This series is designed to work with Tensility standard DC cables, which are also rated at 48 V and are available in a variety of lengths and configurations. The main feature of these cables is the spring contacts on the plug that ensure plug-to-socket continuity. These connector/cable combinations are ideal for applications where higher voltages need to be achieved in traditional small devices, such as LED lighting, charging stations, security monitors or health science devices.
